Natural Building Stone

We have a wide variety of local, natural building stone to compliment any landscape!

Columbia River Basalt

A versatile, dark gray building stone that is available in many different shapes, sizes, and thicknesses.  It is most commonly used for stacked retaining walls, steps, and veneers.

  • A - Split— is 3" - 5" thick with irregular shapes, and is used for stacked walls, steps, and veneers.  Stacked coverage approximately 16 - 20 ft²/ton; veneer coverage approximately 35 - 45 ft²/ton.
  • Thin Split— is 2" - 3" thick with irregular shapes, and is used for stacked walls, and veneers.  Stacked coverage approximately 18 - 22 ft²/ton.  Veneer coverage approximately 45 - 55 ft²/ton.
  • Sqs & Recs— are 3" - 5" thick with roughly squared off shapes, and are used for stacked walls, steps, and veneers.  Stacked coverage approximately 12 - 15 ft²/ton.  Veneer coverage approximately 35 - 45 ft²/ton.
  • Curbstone— is 5" - 7" thick with roughly squared off shapes and is used for steps, walls, and borders.  Stacked coverage approximately 10 - 12 ft²/ton or 20 - 25 LF per layer.

 

Rustic Building Stone

Generally flat pieces of stackable stone for walls, water features, borders, and accent pieces. 

  • Easy Stack — Generally 2" - 4" thick pieces good for small walls.
  • Ledgestone — Longer rectangular pieces used for small walls and borders.
  • Wall Stone — Larger blocky pieces for retaining walls and steps.  

 

Western Pacific Thin Veneer

We are proud to offer the Western Pacific Thin Veneer line, which highlights the inherent beauty of natural stone unique to the Pacific NW, Montana, and Idaho. Thin veneer stone allows you to enjoy the longevity and charm of real stone without the weight and cost of a full veneer.
