Columbia River Basalt Irregular Slabs
Large flat pieces of local basalt, sized for stepping stones, landings, and feature placements where one stone needs to do the work. Each slab runs 2 to 4 feet across and 4 to 8 inches thick. The weight keeps them stable on a base course without anchoring, and the surface is broad enough to walk on comfortably. Natural fractured edges and a dark surface read as quarried rock rather than cut tile, which works well in woodland gardens, creek crossings, and informal stone paths.
